My condolences on your loss. Although I hadn't seen Jim in at least 25 or 30 years, the countless hours we spent with our MatchBox cars in the sandbox, saving the world with our G.I. Joes, playing Nerf football, riding our bikes and just hanging out are very fondly remembered. I couldn't have asked for a better friend.

Deb and the rest of the Tiesenga Family, Greetings to each of you but at the same time I wish to tell you how sorry I am that you have to endure such a sad thing. Death is such a weird thing, especially when it seems to happen in ways that are not a part of our plan. You perhaps may remember that my extended family suffered a tragic "too young" death experience this summer in the death of my sister's daughter. Jim's death, although he had been ill for a while, is still one of those "too young" deaths. It is never easy. And there are times when it even sounds trite to say that God is still in control through it all. Hang in there. The grief will come in waves, but hang in there. Jim was a good man and you were blessed to have him as a father, a husband, a brother, and a son. Blessings to each of you. Phil Warners

Deb and family. As we have been in prayer for Jim and your family so we will continue to daily pray for you and your family. The memories that stand out the most for me (Tom) were the times of laughter and of prayer Jim and I shared together. In fact his laugh was the first thing that came to my mind when I heard he was with our Lord. We wondered in amazement and laughter how our great God could hear the prayers of a "Wolverine" and a "Badger" or "Spartan" when offered up together, without picking one over the others! It was a great treasure to have shared some time with a special friend like Jim.
