David Allan Gibbons age 38 of Sidney died Friday January 25, 2008 at Sheridan Community Hospital. He was born in Sheridan on April 15, 1969 the son of Lawrence N. and Janis K. Taylor Gibbons. He was a graduate of Sparta High School with the class of 1987 and was formerly employed at Brown Corporation, Ionia.
He was the beloved husband of Brenda A. Graves Gibbons, whom he married in Ionia on July 27, 2002, and the loved father of Aleshia and May Gibbons, son of Lawrence and Janis Gibbons of Sparta, brother to Michael of Kent City and Scott of Grand Rapids, grandson of Beth Taylor of Greenville, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and Brendas family, her parents L.D. and Carol Graves of Lansing, sisters, Bonnie and Rob Taylor of Eaton Rapids and Beth and Bob Bryant of Lansing, and grandmother, Amy Eifert of Grand Ledge.
His brother Peter Gibbons preceded him in death in 1973.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday January 29, 2008 at 1 PM from Hurst Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin Crowell of Beth Haven Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in the spring at East Montcalm Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 7-9 PM at the funeral home. In Lieu of Flowers, Memorial contributions may be given to the family.
