Emma A. Reed age 96 of Greenville died Wednesday March 19,2008 at Spectrum Health Butterworth Campus in Grand Rapids. She was born in Harvard on September 2, 1911 the daughter of Otis and Grace Fauver Rentsman. She was married to Cyrus Leslie Reed on October 18,1930 and he preceded her in death after 59 years of marriage in 1990. Her daughter Phyllis Simmons preceded her in 2007 and daughter Helen R. Lehman in 2004 and her brothers Chester, Scott and Arden Rentsman and sisters,Chestina Reed and Lela Clayton also have preceded her.
Surviving are her son Jerry and Edith Reed of Fenwick, 11 grandchildren and many great and great great grandchildren, her sister Grace Kellogg of Florida, sister-in-law Frances Rentsman of Cedar Springs and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Monday March 24, 2008 at 12 Noon from Hurst Funeral Home with Pastor Kelly Munger of the New Hope Church of God officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memory Gardens, Belding. Visitation will be held at 11 AM Monday. Memorial contributions may be given to Emmas Family.
