Harold D. McQueen age 85 of Howard City formerly of Greenville died Saturday April 19, 2008 at Metron of Big Rapids. He was born in Shepherd, MI on Sep 22, 1922 the son of Clare and Bessie Knight McQueen. He was retired from the former Gibson Refrigerator Company and also Greenville Public Schools as a bus driver. He was a veteran of the US Army in WW II.
His wives Clarabelle Beach McQueen and Helen Guinnup McQueen preceded him in death as did his sons, Dale and Gordon McQueen and grand son Mark and granddaughter Diane McQueen and brothers, Arnith, Don and Bernard and sister June.
He is survived by is daughter Phyllis M. and DeVere Peer of Stanwood, his grand children, Paul, DeAnne, Kevin, Brian and Danielle, 5 great grandchildren, brothers; Ken and Gladys, LeVern and Carol, Nelson and Margene, Clare Jr. and Bonnie and Jim, his sisters, Treva, Wilma and Virginia, sisters-in-law Inez Beach and Annie McQueen and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday April 23, 2008 at 11 AM from Hurst Funeral Home with Rev. David Perry officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memory Gardens, Belding. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM.
