Helen Jane Harris age 81 of Greenville died Friday May 2 208 at Spectrum Health United Memorial Long Term Care in Greenville. She was born in Grand Rapids MI on April 24, 1927 the daughter of Fred and Minnie Lachman Mosher. She was married in Greenville on September 28,1945 to James Eldon Harris Sr. He preceded her in death in 2003.
Her brothers and sisters, Robert and Fred Mosher and Errol Graham , Ruth Buekema and Dawn Copeland also preceded her in death.
She was retired from the former Gibson Refrigerator Co. and was a member of First United Methodist Church of Greenville and the American Legion Post # 101 Auxiliary of Greenville.
She is survived by her children; James Jr. and Vicki Harris of Gowen and Ann and Ben Rinkeviczie of Greenville, grandchildren; Mark Spoors, Kari and Josh Paskewicz, Cindi and Ryan Olsen and Adam and Candi Harris and great grandchildren, Ryan Olsen, Aleya Harris, Zoe Isabella and Ava Alexandra Paskewicz and an arrival of another great grandchild this month.
Memorial services will be held on Tuesday May 6,2008 at 7 PM from Hurst Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Joy Moore officiating. Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery, Greenville. Memorial contributions may be given to Spectrum Health Hospice, American Diabetes Association, or First United Methodist Church.
