I was so saddened by Dan's early homecoming and am praying for Pam and the rest of that family as they transition to life without Dan here on earth. If there's ANYTHING I can do to help, I'm here. Love, hugs and prayers to the King of Kings for your healing as you mourn the death of your brother and son.

My mom and Step father with in several plays with Dan with the GCP. He was a funny person...what a shame that his life was snuffed out so early. So, to all of Dan's family, I am deeply sorry for you loss! God Bless all of you!

We knew Dan well. Having spent many hours on the phone, through the written word by email, cards and letters and gifts, concerts, as well as spending time together in one of our own favorite places; Frankfort, MI. Dan was very special to us, and we are better for having known him. He touched our hearts in ways that will forever remain. He will surely be missed. May his family and friends be greatly blessed with the very presence of God's love and peace. Merry Christmas.

Dan, I remember laughing with you at Marilyn Miglin about life and the Republican party, and then deflecting your barbs when they were directed my way. Still, your capacity for emphathy and caring was special and hard to match. Dan, as Brad Grey & I discussed, you were the chocolate covered pretzel -- salty and sweet. In that pretzel are two ingredients which at first seem mismatched, until you try one and realize how perfectly they complement each other. Dan, laugh with us and at us.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Dan's family and friends. He and I worked together at Miglin and were basically inseparable for the better part of 6 years. I learned so much from him, about work but more importantly about life. There are so many memories of him filling my head right now & all of them great. As Im reading some of these passages, and hearing the heartfelt words, it brings a huge smile to my face, he touched the lives of so many people. Dan was not one to easily let someone into his inner circle and I feel so blessed that I was a person that he cared for and trusted enough to do so with. I love you Dan and I will miss you forever.

To the Davis Family: Dan was my friend for more than 15 years. I met him when he was working at the Miglin Company and we hit it off right away. I will always remember his positive support, attention to detail and wonderful sense of humor. He helped me and helped many others. I miss him but will always love his spirit that remains in my heart. And oh! I will chuckle when I think of him because he always made me laugh.

Dear Pam: I am so sorry about the passing away of your brother. The loss of a loved one is never easy as no one can fill the vacuum he/she leaves behind. And when a person as young as your brother passes away one feels powerless in the face of death and the sorrow is too great to bear. You and your mother and other members of your family will be in my thoughts and prayers. With deep and sincere sympathy, Julia Petry

I share this prayer with you in the hope that it may in some small way give you comfort and peace. Jesus said, "Come to me, all who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest." Let us pray for our brother, Dan, that he may rest from his labors, and enter into the light of God's eternal rest. Receive, O Lord, you servant, for he returns to you. May he hear your words of welcome,"Come, you blessed of my Father," and receive the unfading crown of glory. May the angels surround him and the saints welcome him in peace. Into your hands, O Lord, we commend our brother, Dan. Gracious God, in whose presence live all who die in the Lord, receive our brother, Dan, into your merciful arms, and into the joys of your heavenly home. May he and all the departed rest in your peace. In our time of trouble, send your Holy Spirit to comfort and strengthen us, that we may have hope of life eternal and trust in your goodness and mercy, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

I am sorry to hear of Dan's passing. Dan was my best friend in highschool and even though we had lost touch since then, we had reconnected a short time ago. I am sure those of us whose lives he touched even in a limited way, we are all richer for knowing such a warm and loving person. I told Dan after learning of his valiant struggle, loved ones have little choice but to say to keep on fighting a little longer. We just say those things because we don't want to lose someone. Selfish reasons although they may be, I think Dan understood this. I wish his family well in this difficult time. God Bless you Dan for a life lived to the fullest. Duane
