He was a wonderful father, its obvious when you meet his children and grand children. He was a model husband of 69 years. He will be missed.

Mick, Jeannie and Family
You are in our thoughts.
We offer our Condolences .
Prayer for Comfort.
Bobs place on earth has changed.
By the word of our Lord, he is with Him.
His journeys end with peace, love, no more pain.
He awaits for us all to have the same.
May Gods Grace give you comfort.
His words refresh your soul.
In my Fathers house are many mansions:
if it were not so, I would have told you
I go to prepare a place for you John 14:2

To Mick, Terry & Judy, and families, I can't tell you enough how I feel for your loss nor am I able to express my condolences enough. Your father was a great man. He gave me a job as a mechanic in his gas station in Belding years ago, when I was in dire need of help. I wasn't much of a mechanic, but Bob being himself never once expressed a dislike in my work performance. (I wasn't much older than his sons.) I wasn't much more than a shade tree mechanic. He was a very gracious man. I was blessed to have met him and in later years to meet all of his kids. Bob & Evelyn will live on for a long time in their children. We should all be blessed with friends like them.

To my loving grandmother,
I am flooded with all the memories that Grandpa has left us. He was the best grandfather a child could ever have. Not once did he ever raise his voice to me, even when I drove your brand new cadillac between those trees so Grandpa could wash it. Do you remember what happened Grandma? Instead of driving it between the trees, I miscalculated, and ended up scraping the driver side door of that new car along the tree. I remember telling Grandpa before it happened that I didn't think I could make it between the trees and Grandpa encouraged me to try it anyway. I told him I would hit the tree and he said, "just try." So I did, and I hit the tree!! He just smiled at me and shook his head and reassured me that it was repairable.
Grandpa was one of the most gentle, loving men that I have ever known and his spirit will live on forever in my heart.
I am going to miss him holding up those pictures of you as a couple and telling me how beautiful my grandmother is. My, how he loved you Grandma! What a legacy he has left our family. Our family gatherings will never be quite the same, but we will have many memories of Grandpa to talk about. I love you Grandma. I wish I could be there with you at this time.

When I first met Thornton he said to me, you can just call me big Bob and in return I saind big bad Bob. WE have had many coffee sessions over the years and when Fall would come I would miss him till he got back in the spring and it would be like home coming for me. I learned a lot about his family growing up and his wonderful life with his wife. His love for God and family every time we met were a lot of the discussion. Bob was almost like a Dad to me I felt and it was that every time we met he always had something positive to say and I looked forward to the next coffee session wiht Bob. He has left a wonderful wife and Family for sure and I hae to believe it was because of him.

To the family and loving friends of Thornton Bellinger, we give our sincere condolences. Even though we met him only once, we know wonderful stories of Thornton and Evelyn and their long happy marriage through our brother-in-law and Thornton and Evelyn's son Terry. We know he was greatly loved and will be "hugely" missed by all who knew him.
