Dear Bev and family (our other Kelly)...We were so sorry to hear about Gene's passing. Thinking of all the great memories when our Kelly's were in highschool. Gene always had a big smile and hello for everyone he met. Sorry this was late, we are down in the chilly south.

Bev, our sympathy goes out to you and your family. You have been in out thoughts often lately. Jim remembers good times with Gene at BHS and roomed with him at Central MI. We all were in the same HS class. He often stopped in to see us when we lived in Martin. That great smile will be missed.

Your husband, dad, grandpa and my families friend will be missed. His smile and his big heart will never be forgotten. He referred to me as one of his daugthers and I referred to him as my second dad which will alway be cherished. You all were so blessed to have such a wonderful man that loved you and who was also so loved by you....

Dear Bev and family, Please accept my sincere sympathy in the loss of your husband and father. Gene was always a fun-loving and happy guy, we enjoyed having him as the starter for our Candlestone golf league...he always had a mint or a candy to offer the "girls". I am sure he will be missed by all who knew him. Sincerely, Karen

We are so sorry to learn of your Dad's death. He was an inspiration because of his smile, his friendliness and his enthusiasm. He will be sorely missed. Although your Dad's lifetime was much too short, you both must know how fortunate you are to have had such a positive role model and such a caring, involved father. Many family members never experience that kind of love. Our best to you both and to your family as a whole and please know that our thoughts are with you as is our deepest sympathy. Love, Bob & Lori Reed

Dear Beverly and Family, We wish to express our condolences on your loss of Gene. He will always be remembered as a terrific person and sportsman. When I was 12 yrs old I spent alot of time at his home. He intercepted a pass at an Ionia game & ran 100 yrds for a touchdown but it was called back because of a clipping penalty by me. I don't think he spoke to me after that. Dick and Sally Stout

Gene was a good friend, bridge buddy, fellow Lion and fraternity brother. He use to stop in and visit with me in years past when he would go walking around Ranney Lake. A hard worker.
