She will always be remembered in all our hearts. She was my Kindergarden Teacher, which I loved, and she was a great Kindergarden Graduation Organizer, I may have been only 5, then but she held my heart.

Mrs. Scott had a true gift for inspiring her students to do their best while making them feel welcome and confident as they began their new sholastic adventure. I delight in many fond memories of her as I'm sure most of her students do. My condolences to her family.

BARBARA WAS ALL SIX OF MY CHILDREN'S KINDERGARTEN TEACHER. THEY ALL LOVED HER. AND WHEN I WAS IN HIGH SCHOOL, I WAS A TEACHER'S AID FOR HER. ALSO I WENT TO SCHOOL WITH HER DAUGHTER-IN-LAW, JOANN SCOTT, AND HER SON GORDIE. I THINK KENNY WAS A COUPLE GRADES AHEAD OF ME. MY OLDEST DAUGHTER, JEAN, WAS IN THE SAME GRADE AS BARBIE, AND THEY GRADURATED TOGETHER. SHE WAS SUCH A WONDERFUL PERSON, AND BEAUTIFUL. NOT ONLY ON THR OUTSIDE, BUT ALSO IN THE INSIDE. SHE WILL TRULY BE MISSED. BARBARA, WILL BE MISSED. I NEVER HEARD HER SAY ANYTHING CRUEL, OR BAD ABOUT ANYONE. I SEND MY SYMPATHY TO ALL OF THE FAMILY. GOD BLESS EACH ONE OF YOU. SHIRLEY DUKES

We add our sympathy but especially our expressions of great admiration! Barb was fortunate that I moved to Sheridan in 3rd grade, so she didn't have to deal with me (Bob) in Kindergarten!, though she was still teaching then. Betty and I have nothing but great thoughts of her. She was a Sheridan pillar, but she helped shape many "pillarettes" to keep the community strong. Some sadness for you all, mixed with joy for her life. Much happiness in heaven.

Such a wonderful lady! And the matriarch of a wonderful legacy of teaching she brought to Sheridan Elementary, not only herself but in her daughter, Mrs. Millard who had both of my sons in Kindergarten and granddaughter, Mrs. Bowen who was a wonderful 3rd grand teacher for my youngest son. She was an awesome role model and a truly beautiful lady, inside and out! And will be truly missed. We thank God for all the time that he blessed us with her presence here on earth. My prayers are with all the family.

TO THE SCOTT/MILLARD FAMILIES. IT IS SO HARD TO BE SO FAR AWAY WHEN SOMEONE I WAS VERY CLOSE TO PASSES AWAY. I WILL BE THINKING OF YOU WHEN YOU HAVE THE FUNERAL THURSDAY. SHE WAS A GREAT LADY AND I LEARNED SO MUCH FROM HER IN THE 3 1/2 YEARS I HELPED IN KINDERGARTEN WITH HER. I ALSO REMEMBER THE FIRST KINDERGARTEN GRADUATION. HOW BUSY WE WERE. I AM ALSO GLAD I COULD TAKE BARB AROUND A FEW YEARS BACK WHEN SHE COULD NOT DRIVE. WE HAD GOOD TIMES AND ENJOYED LUNCH TOGETHER. LOVE TO ALL--ANNIE

Mrs Millard, I was so sad and shocked when Delanie told me your mom had passed away. She will always be very special to me. She was a huge part of our "school family" being my dad's Kindergarten teacher, Gregg's and mine. So very saddened for you all. Know you are in our thoughts and prayers. Don't know if I'll be able to go to the funeral tomorrow as I have some pretty serious breathing problems. I have two great memories of Barb. One was her morning ritual...come in, sit down and then we'll do the pledge of allegiance, and then we'll sing. Barb would play the piano and those little munchkins would sing. One memory is "In kindergarten we have fun, we sing and dance and do something and run." Guess memory failed me, but music was always important to her. My next best memory was Judy and Betty crawling in the window of the kindergarten room with pizza or something for Tyler's birthday and Barb and I just enjoyed it. Great lady!

What a wonderful person she was! She taught kindergarten to both of us and all 3 of our daughters. I was privileged to be her "typist" when she was taking a college course required for her continuation as a teacher one year and we had a good time chatting when I was supposed to be working. God seldom blesses us with anyone so wonderful! May God comfort and bless the family. What a fine legacy she leaves to them ... and to all of us!

My heartfelt sympathy goes out to all of Barbara's family. If my memory is correct, I believe that you, Kenny, and I were in the same grade in elementary school. To each of you, your Mom was one of my favorite teachers. She was a wonderful lady and I have never forgotten her. I am glad you were able to have her for so many years and even though she had a good long life, I know it is still a big loss. My thoughts and prayers are with each of you. Norma

Kindergarten Class of 1975! Sheridan definitely has lost one of its finest! I cannot imagine anyone has forgotten his or her Kindergarten graduation! It was a BIG deal to the kids and all thanks to Mrs. Scott! There was always a sparkle in her eye when she spoke to you and she NEVER forgot your name. She will be missed.

I have fond memories on Mrs. Scott as she was my kindergarten teacher when I moved to Sheridan at the age of 5 1/2. I had gone part of the year in Greenville and then we moved to Sheridan. I cried so hard and she calmed me down. She was always so nice and caring. She was the beginning of many pleasant memories I have of school and of Sheridan. Thank you for the memories, Mrs. Scott.

Barb was a second Mother to the Wyckoff children who were neighbors. As a teacher she had three generations of our family. Most of all, she and her family have been life long friends.
