My condolences on Gerald's passing, he sounds like a lovely person. I came upon his name while researching the men who fought with my g, g grandfather in the Civil War. Gerald was the grandson of Jared (Jerred) Shenefield (1837-1902) who fought in Company A, 125th Ohio Volunteer Infantry. I would like to make contact with his descendants.

Our hearts go out to the entire Shenefield family. We enjoyed having Red as our neighbor. He took great pride in his home and yard, as well as "Shenefield Park". Yes, that is what our family called the area in Tower Park across the street from his house. For years he would maintain and clean up that area of leaves and brush, doing his part to make the neighborhood beautiful. A fine man will be missed.

Shirley and Gene,
So sorry to hear about your dad. I hope warm memories will help you through the days ahead.
The tree of life is full of lovely leaves and in his own time, God gathers all - the new, the old, the great, the small. May you feel God's presence as you say good bye.
