Ron and I were friends and grew up in the same neighborhood. Ron lived on E Grand Blvd and I lived on Horton st. We palled around together and graduated same year from Cass Tech. I have good memories of going with Ron to their family cottage in Canada and playing hockey on Belle Isle and in their basement with the Horton St gang. I'm very sorry to hear of Ron and Nancy's passing.

To All the family. So very sorry to hear about your dad.He and Dexter used to come to Canada to visit Ron's grandmother. A group of us used to meet at the local lake, swim and chat about our lives in each of our countries. When Ron attended Pennsylvania Military he would write to let us know how he was doing. He was one of the nicest people, and we all knew he would be a super doctor. It was a pleasure to have known your father.

Dr Ron was my doctor many years. The morning I had the twins they called him out of surgury. He demanded to be there with me. 'Told you they would be born on my birthday'. And they were, he called the boys Ronny 1 and Ronny 2, laughing that someday he would learn their names. Never did. He saved Chris's life at 6 weeks, he was the only doctor that listened when I said something was wrong. Dr Ron took control. That baby is 30 now with a family of his own. Without Dr Ron Lord knows what could have happened. I am certain Dr Ron saved many lives. The one that I know is my Son. Thank you Dr Ron. God Bless.

Dear Barbara, Russ and Families: We, of course, are saddened to know of the loss of your dad. We loved them both, Nancy and Ron -- and only regret our short number of years together. Our consolation is that they are together again. We join you in having vibrant, happy memories to carry on.

To Dr. Hammond's Family, I knew Dr. Hammond from when he worked at Metron of Greenville. He was a good doctor and everytime I called him despite being at 2am he was always polite and would take care of his patients. He did a great service for the community whether he was taking care of his own practice or going to the nursing home. Even after he retired he would still drop by and of course hand out ink pens to all the nurses. He will be missed by all.

Dr Hammond was the best doctor, the old fashion kind that took the time to care about his patients. He delivered all four of my children. When I was carring my second child, we made a bet whether it was going to be a boy or girl. (they couldn't detect back then) He said I was going to have a girl and I said a boy. We bet dinner over it. Well I had a boy. He took my husband, I and the new baby to the Winter Inn for a very nice dinner, something I will never forget. He was the best, and will be sadly missed. My heart and prayers are with you during this sad time.

Dr. Ron was our very special friend down here in Florida. He is the first person who made us feel welcome here when we moved into our condo. He was our neighbor and such a fun person to be around. When I hugged him goodbye last month, I knew I would never be able to share his laughter and kindness again. We will miss you, Ron.

Dear Russ and Barb. I have sadly lost and cousin, but much more Sherron and I have lost a dear friend. Our relationship with your dad Ron and your mom Nancy florished over the years. The times spent together were always fun and memorable,if only because of the never ending Notre Dame/Michigan rivalry. This morning I went for a run and wore my Michgan sweatshirt. Good bye dear friend, God treat you well and Go Blue...John V.

Dr. Hammond was my doctor as a little girl and up until he retired. I remember crying tears on his scrubs when I was sick and in the hospital. I was quite young and wanted to go home. He wrapped his arms around me and hugged me tight, reassuring me that everything would be alright. We later laughed about the spots on his scrubs. Little did I know, someday I would grow up to work along side of him at the hospital in OB and Surgery. I certainly learned a lot from him and loved working with him. Dr. Hammond had a very positive impact on my life. Dr. Hammond was a wonderful man, full of spirit in life. I can still see him be-bopping down the halls of Belding Hospital. My heart goes out to you for the loss of your farther. Kathy Arnett-Kilduff
