1923 - 2010
 PIEPER- Mrs. Vivian Laura Pieper, 87, passed away surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer Friday morning, May 14, 2010 at her home on Como Lake, Greenville. She was born May 6, 1923 in Detroit, the daughter of Theodore and Laura (Grenzke) Gabert. She was a graduate of Cass Technical High School. On October 17, 1942, she married Donald T. Pieper in Detroit. Together they were longtime Detroit area residents, eventually retiring to Greenville, where they became active members of Faith Baptist Church. She loved the Lord and was His devoted servant. She loved and will be deeply missed by her husband of 67 years, Donald T. Pieper; her children, Holly (John) Feeney of Bloomfield Hills, Donald R. (Julia E.) Pieper of Brighton, and Ronald J. (Joanne) Pieper of Chelsea; and her grandchildren, Mark Feeney of Bloomfield Hills, Ariana Pieper of New York, Krista (Josh) Bower of Jackson, MS, Karen (Jared) Stauffer of Grand Rapids, and Eric Pieper of Jackson, MI. She was preceded in death by her brother, Ralph Gabert. Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 16 at 3:00 PM at Faith Baptist Church, Greenville, with Rev. Robert Winter officiating. Visitation will be from 1:30 to 3:00 PM prior to the service at church. Graveside committal services will take place Monday at 2:00 PM at White Chapel Cemetery, Troy. Memorial contributions may be given to Faith Baptist Church. |

I miss my dear friend of almost 70 years. We shared so much together and there is no one to take her place, She is still mourned by so many of us who loved her dearly.
She rests with our Lord in His Peace.
