Judie...a message of sympathy to you and your family from two long-ago friends. Those memories of early years as the "young faculty" still are warm ones. In Jerry's memory, we have sent a memorial to the Sparta Education Foundation to honor those years when we shared our lives in Sparta. In peace and faith...Jim and Martha

Judie, Joe and I are deeply saddened by Jerry's passing. Although I did not get to know him like Joe did, I am glad I got to meet him and you. Joe spoke so highly of him and considered him a great friend! I am so glad we came over the day we did when your family was all around. It was neat to meet him and have him tell me that he knew my father, so long ago. You and your family are in our prayers

Dear Judy and Family, Just wanted to drop a short note to let you know how sorry we are about Jerry's passing. I got to know Jerry during his time as superintendent and more recently as a "lake friend". All I can say is "What a guy!" I was shaken when I learned of his cancer I could see in his eyes during our visit that he had fight and determination to see this through and I wanted to support him. When Matt, my son, and I came to visit with him the other day we were truly shocked and very heart saddened to learn of his passing. On behalf of my entire family please know that we will keep Jerry, you and your family in our prayers. With heart felt sadness, Mike, Julie and family
