My sister Carole (Bearup)introduced me to you some 20+ years ago and from then on I was DOGBREATH and you were PUKEFACE, my brother from an unknown mother. Since then you've come a long way. I've seen you at your worst but I've also seen you at your best. You were one of my best volunteers when we started the Special Olympics training baseball camp with my sister and you were always there for the kids. Know that you were loved by many, possibly many more than you will ever know. I will truly miss your smile and will always cherish those times spent in the summer heat just chillin' on the porch with you and your guitar. As I said before, I will see you when I get there. Till then, save a place for me. See you later. To all of David's real family, my deepest sympathy goes out for you in this time of sorrow.

Dave was an old friend. I knew him as Cadillac Dave before he was dirt bike Dave. He had a good heart and was not bashful. My condolences to family and friends.

David was a great guy. A friend from the day you meet him. I met David at a small PGR funeral in Linton, IN. We spent the day in the flag line and talking. David didn't know the best way home so I lead him to Spencer. From that day on, it was always a pleasure to see David, talk about things. Of course you have to remember the hugs. I gave him an Indiana Patriot Guard Challenge coin the last time I saw him. He was worried he was going to lose it. I told him if he lost it, I would get him another one. I sure hope he has it with him forever.
Janet, you and the family will forever be in our hearts. You have been tremendous and God bless you for that.
With much respect,

Janet, First and foremost Condolences and Prayers from Debbie & I. I also net David on the Rick Monday Mission. We Finally handed Barbara Lee off to Illinois and went to lunch. David headed home because you were taking him to a comedy club. He had a great time that night and spoke of it often.
Where do I start? Friend, Confidant, Brother. We rode a lot of miles, broke bread, shared Testimonies, laughed and cried together. I could go on and on. We're all going to miss him, but no one will ever forget him.

I met you only one year ago to the day of your death..you talked to me knowing that I was a biker at heart as much as you...you gave me wisdom to be with the man I just married only three days prior to your death...a man you knew had the strength to be as strong as you were thru all your battles..you opened my eyes to realizes everyone has a great purpose in life...much like your own...for that I am forever in your debt...will miss you....Angie

I sure will miss my buddy. I've known Dave since day 1 in the Patriot Guard.
When we escorted the Rick Monday flag through Indiana, Dave and I rode down the night before and shared a room in the New Albany/Louisville area.
On the way down to New Albany we stopped off in Edinburgh to visit my mom. I will never forget that, and neither has my mother. She's 84 and can't remember things all that well anymore, but she has ALWAYS talked about mine and Dave's visit that day. She wants me to pass on that she has remembered Dave, Janet, and everyone in her daily prayers.
Something I will also never forget, is Dave asking me every time he saw me, "How's your Mom doing? Please tell her I said Hi and I'm real glad we stopped that day and I got a chance to meet her".
God Bless you Dave. You touched so many more hearts than you could possibly realize.
My deepest, heartfelt prayers and sincerest condolences to Janet and Dave's entire family.
Much Respect and Much Love,

I didn't know David personally but after reading the comments from other PGR members he must have been a very special person. May he rest in peace and stand the flag line for the rest of us who are fortunate enough to follow him. All my best to "Dirtbike's" family and friends.

David put up a good fight. He strongly & courageously battled this terrible cancer. He leaves behind many family (me included--his niece) & friends who love him & will miss him. He was a very special person who touched many people in a very special way. He was sensitive, caring, fun, highly intelligent, strong-willed (lol)etc....I could go on & on.... RIP Uncle David-I'll see you on the other side & we will share a bowl of strawberry shortcake.
Love always,
Lisa
