Dear Karen, Pam, Pat and Kathy.... we ALL loved Aunt Grace, and it is sad to think of a world without her. I have the BEST memories of walking over to your house in the summers and seeing Aunt Grace in the basement window, ironing away on a hot, summer day. Also, vivid memories of stopping into the flower shop where she worked (Eastern Floral??), and all of the wonderful smells, the humid air and her ever-present smile. We were blessed to be in the same family together. Love to all of you at this time. As Barb said, in these recent years, as we talked with her, she truly cared about all of us, deepening our bond with her.

I'm so saddened to learn of my Aunt Grace's death. We always had good conversations and enjoyed telling each other about our families - she truly cared. I'll miss those talks but know now she is no longer hurting, but memories of her will last forever. I'm so sorry Pam, Karen, Pat and Kathy for your loss, my thoughts are with you.

Two weeks ago I was in Grand Rapids with my family, and we went over to Nelson Ave. I even took a picture of your house along with several others. I thought of you, and all the neighbors. I am sorry about your mom's passing. It's not easy, but she lives in the memories of all of us. Blessings, Your neighbor from Nelson, Jane JAY Sterken
