1954 - 2010
 Michael Lee Devereaux, 56, of Sheridan, died Thursday morning, September 16, 2010 in Grand Rapids. He was born June 1, 1954 in Lansing. On July 28, 1979, he married the former Peggy Irish. Mike was employed at Electrolux for many years. He could fix absolutely anything, and was a true no-nonsense guy that never stopped fighting. He always let you know exactly what he thought about you. He had a big bark, but was a very giving man. More than anything, he lived for his family, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Peggy (Irish); children, Kevin (Rachel) Devereaux of Lakeview and Brandy (Mark) Tyslenko of Canadian Lakes; precious grandchildren, Riley and Emma; father-in-law, Robert (Margaret) Irish of Carson City; brother-in-law, Joe (Cheryl) Irish of Ionia; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Darrell Devereaux, Sr.; brothers, Darrell Devereaux, Jr. and Gary Devereaux; mother-in-law, Dorothy Irish; brother-in-law, Randy Irish; and his grandparents. A memorial service in celebration of Mikes life will be held Tuesday at 3:00 PM at Hurst Funeral Home, Greenville, with visitation from 2:00 to 3:00 prior to the service. Mikes close friend, Rev. Peggy....I was so saddened to hear of Mike's death. Just doesn't seem like it could be true....I'll think of him every single time I see our basement floor. He put so much time into that early part of building the house we live in. He knew a great deal and helped Fred a lot. I'm sorry to hear Mike won't be on the block anymore...but smile to think of his wild and crazy personality still lingering in so many memories of folks in the community. Sincerely...G

No one will ever have a father in law like me. Mike was truly one of a kind and I will greatly miss him, as will Riley! Riley was Papa's little buddy, whatever Riley wanted- Papa gave to him(even if mom/dad said no)Papa let Riley get away with things that his own kids were not allowed to do! But Riley and I know that papa's in a better place now and he is not in pain! You may be gone papa, but Never forgotten, We love you!
