1921 - 2010
 Bernice C Kulas (Wheeler) of Charlotte, formerly of Greenville, went home to be with her Lord on October 17, 2010, shortly after celebrating her 89th birthday with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was born to William and Dora Lund Wheeler on October 10, 1921 in Pine Township, Montcalm County, Michigan. Bernice graduated from Lakeview High School class of 1939 and Lansing Business University.
Bernice is survived by her daughter, Kristina (Dana) Tousley of Charlotte and her son Joseph Jr. (Linda) Kulas of Sterling Heights; three grandchildren, Dana (Carla) Tousley, Jr, Stacey (Tom) Sanders and Joseph Kulas III; two great grandchildren, William and Anna Tousley and her brother, Vern ( Peg) Wheeler of Greenville, brother-in-law and sisters-in-laws; Glenn and Bonnie Kulas, Lorraine Simmons and Johanna Fritzi Perdue, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph D Kulas; and her brothers, Lester (Ted) Wheeler, Gilbert Wheeler and Leo Wheeler.
She was a member of Mt Calvary Lutheran Church in Greenville. During her lifetime, she contributed her time and talents to many organizations, including the Mt Calvary Sunday School and Ladies Circle, American Legion Ray I Booth Post 101 Auxiliary and served as its President, Camp Concordia Board of Directors, Montcalm County Habitat For Humanity and the Greenville Area Senior Center. In her later years, she became an avid traveler, visiting 39 of the 48 contiguous states and most of the Canadian provinces.
The funeral will be at Hurst Funeral Home in Greenville with Reverend Timothy Olson of First Lutheran Church in Charlotte officiating on 1 PM Wednesday October 20, 2010. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6 to 8 PM. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memory Gardens, Belding.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Mt Calvary Lutheran Church, Camp Concordia or Montcalm County Habitat For Humanity. Messages of condolence may be sent via hurstfuneralhome.com.

Im so very sorry about your mom! She was very special to me especially after my mom died. I have wonderful memories of our lives when we were kids. Ill always remember Auntie Boo, and her purple!
