1963 - 2011
Michele Lynn Jibson (Laban), age 47, died Monday morning, January 24, 2011 at her home in Gowen. She was born May 24, 1963 in Grand Rapids. She was a Registered Nurse, working primarily in the Emergency Department at Sheridan Hospital. Michele had a great sense of humor, and often cared more for others than for herself. She was a true animal lover, and especially loved her dogs and cats. She is survived by her father, Ronald (Donna) Laban of Midland; mother, Darla (Jack) Hoag of Gowen; grandfather, Delmar Millering of Saranac; siblings, Jill (Eric Vaughn), Jack (Julie) Hoag, Jr., Kim (Scott), Richelle Stile, Kathy Hoag, and Marshalla Hoag; nieces and nephews, Jonathon, Christie, and Alexa; special grandchildren, Gracie, Zachary, and Bryce; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and good friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Matthew and Gladys Laban and Beulah Millering; and a brother, Joey Laban. Memorial services will be held Saturday, February 5, 2011 at 3:00 PM at Hurst Funeral Home, Greenville, with Pastor Mike Haefner of the First Congregational Church of Greenville officiating.

So the nephew who was there for her most is not listed in this, also the pictures at the memorial were biased and ahlf the crap said at the memorial was crap. You insult aunt shell by not having a viewing, using her death to honor those who lied to her abused her and took advantage of her. She deserved more than this. Its not just me either. Most of the family and friends are upset how everything went. If u belive aunt shell would want this and want u to write her life of this way, well u either didn't know her or u didn't love her enough to not do this

I worked with Michele at Sheridan and recently saw her at the Metron of Greenville. She always made me laugh. Good Story: Had a man in the ER from a car accident at the McBride Drag strip, we had to put in a catheter! She turned while holding the cather with sterile gloves and starting laughing--how rude you would think but oh no her pants had fallen to her ankles!! We explained to the patient and all was well, but a great story it made for this patient who published it in a magazine!!!!Gotta love her!!

I was so sorry to hear about Michele. I hung around and went to school with Jill and remember Michele well. She was so funny and used to make me laugh more than anyone could. I pray the Lord will bring you peace and comfort during this difficult time.

I'm so sorry for your loss Ron, Darla and family. Although our paths crossed so many years ago (early 70's) I recall many fun times from those days and had heard Shelley grew to be a fine woman. I know she'll be missed.
