Mary Anne Coulter

Mary Anne (Briggs, Kvasnica) Coulter, 90 years old, went peacefully to see her Savior and Lord Jesus, on Saturday March 19, 2011.She was born September 2, 1920 in Birch Run, MI to Maude & Julius Briggs. Mary married Joseph Vincent Kvasnica on June 2, 1940. Their children are Janet (John) Kidd, of Telford PA, Mrs.Robert (Linda) Kvasnica of Flushing, MI, Sharon (Rev. Jerry Carlson) of Sheridan, MI, and Shirley (Dr. Larry) Hunt of San Antonio, TX.

There are eleven grandchildren; Jana, James, Janelle, Brian, Kristen, Kathryn, Brett, Jeff, Kaylonnie, Tracy, Heidi, and 20 great grandchildren.

Joseph preceded her in death in 1989. In 1991, Mary married Edwin (Ted) Coulter of St. Catherines, Ontario. They enjoyed 13 years together before he went to be with the Lord in 2003. Since then Mary has lived with Sharon & Jerry Carlson, attending Sheridan Assembly of God, pastured by Rev. Carlson.

She blessed us with her amazing ability to trust God and not to worry about the cares of life. Her family and friends also remember her many talents of sewing, landscape paintings, crocheting, baking, canning and more.

She leaves to cherish one sister, Florence Petzold, nieces and nephews. Also preceding her in death were three brothers, three sisters, and son Robert.

A song and theme of her life was, "What a day that will be, when my Jesus I shall see." She knew that "Only one life 'twill soon be passed, only what's done for Christ will last."

Funeral services will be held at the Sheridan Assembly of God on Sunday March 20, 2011 at 4 PM with Rev. Jerry Carlson and Dr. Larry Hunt officiating. Burial will be in Birch Run Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 4PM on Sunday prior to services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Sheridan Assembly of God, 4010 Sheridan Rd, Sheridan MI 48884.
