Wayne Gayle Stearns age 59 of Greenville passed away unexpectedly Monday April 4, 2011 at St. Mary's Hospital in Grand Rapids. He was born in Greenville March 20, 1952 the son of Lloyd Gayle and Maxine M. Helms Stearns. His sister Kathryn preceded him in death. Surviving are his parents Lloyd and Maxine Stearns of Greenville, brothers Gary (Cari) Stearns of Ravenna and James Stearns of Greenville, 7 nephews and nieces and 16 grand nephews and nieces. Also surviving are aunts and uncles, Wilbur Stearns, Barry (Nancy) Stearns, Phyllis Stearns, Robert ( Roberta) Helms, Marie (Charles) Wagner and several cousins. Funeral services will be on Saturday at 11 AM at Hurst Funeral Home with Gilbert Morris officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Burial will be Evergreen Cemetery, Sheridan. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be given to the family.
