Lucille W. Jones age 94 of Greenville passed away at her home on Tuesday April 5, 2011. She was born in Greenville on December 7, 1916 the daughter of Ernest and Edith Brooks Palmer. She was married to Louis R. Jones on June 22, 1935 and he preceded her in death in 1988. Her daughter Barbara Ann Martin died on September 6, 2007 and her brothers, Louie, Harry and Leo Palmer and sister Lena Main also preceded her in death. She was retired from Federal Mogul Corporation with 27 years of service. Lucille was a long time member of the First Church of God in Greenville and enjoyed camping and camp-fires and any activity with her family.
She is survived by her children; Ron (Elizabeth) Jones, Deanna (Larry) Corwin of Greenville and Lena Mattson of Gowen, 10 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be on Friday April 8, 2011 at 11 AM at Hurst Funeral Home with Pastors Bob Cooper and David Perry officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memory Gardens, Belding. Visitation will be Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to Heartland Hospice or First Church of God.
