
Naomi R. Ledwidge, 92, longtime Edmore resident, passed away Sunday, June 19, 2011. She was born in Springfield, OH on September 9, 1918 to John and Ruth (Dixon) Lorton. She married Martin V. Ledwidge on March 18, 1940. They made their home in Troy, OH for a number of years, until her husband received the call to pastor the First Church of God in Edmore. They pastored there for 13 years and at the Beaverton Church of God for eight years. Naomi volunteered her services at Tri-County Hospital before taking her first job there in Accounts Receivable, moving steadily upward to eventually become Controller and head of the finance department. She remained at this job for 18 ½ years. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband on February 3, 2000. Memorial services will be held this Sunday, July 17, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the Edmore First Church of God, Rev. Harold Owens officiating. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place, and private inurnment will be in Ferncliff Cemetery in Springfield, OH. Memorial contributions in her honor may be given to the Edmore First Church of God.
