Marjorie Jean Chipman Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1923 - 2011 Marjorie Jean Chipman age 88 of Cascade, formerly of Greenville and Florida passed away Tuesday June 28, 2011 at her home at Heather Hills. She was born in Detroit MI the daughter of Allen and Bertha Conklin Shanley on May 12, 1923. She married Russell A. Chipman on June 19, 1943 in Wichita Falls TX. He preceded her in death on Jan 16, 2000. Also preceding her in death were her sister Arlene Benson and son-in-law, Michael Bowers. She and her husband were business owners in Greenville for many years owning the Greenville Drive In Theater and theaters in other Michigan cities. She is survived by her daughters; Sandra Shield of La Grange, IN., Patricia Bowers of Farwell, Kathleen (Clair) Sloan of Grand Rapids and Nancy Hansen of Stanton, 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Friday July 1, 2011 at 2:30 PM at Heather Hills on 1055 Forest Hills SE, Cascade. Chaplain Steve Shick will officiate. Inurnment will be in National Cemetery, Bushnell Florida. Memorial contributions may be given to Spectrum Health Hospice

Patty & Girls: I was sorry to just learn of your Mom's passing. Just saw Goat at my Mom's funeral and knew Marge was not doing well. What fun times we all had between on our homes on Grove St. My thoughts and prayers are with you and I hope are Mom's meet up in the big blue sky. Debbi

All the Chipman girls&So sorry to hear about your mom. Losing parents is one of the hardest grown-up things we have to do! I remember your mom as always greeting us at the house on Baldwin st& with a warm smile and hello. She seemed to like a house full of kids! You are all in my prayers& Kris
