Linda Louise (Kurnat) EvansLinda Louise Evans age 69 of Gowen died suddenly Tuesday evening July 12, 2011 from injuries in a car deer accident in Sidney Township. She was born in Greenville on April 25, 1942 the daughter of Paul J. and Doris I. Allen Kurnat. Linda was a graduate of Greenville High School with the class of 1960 and was a licensed cosmetologist. She married Gary L. Evans in Greenville on July 21, 1962. She was a former member of St. Charles Church where she participated with the CCD classes for her children and was a den mother also. She was a spiritual person with many talents as an artist, author, seamstress and crafter. She enjoyed people and studying genealogy and belonging to the Club Fitness aerobics. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society and served on the alumni committee with the GHS class of '60'.

She is survived by her husband Gary, their children; Jeffrey (Michelle) Evans of Greenville, Nancee (Anthony) Linton of Indianapolis, Ryan Evans of Atlanta, GA, grandchildren; Brett, Justine, Joshua, Cory, Matthew and Scott, great grandchildren, Morgan and Benjamin, her sister Janet Kurnat of Holly, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; Marv and Virginia Evans of Greenville, Wilma Tempero of Placerville CA and Gailen Schroeder of Greenville and the Allen and Kurnat cousins.

Memorial services will be held on Monday July 18, 2011 at 1 PM from Hurst Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Jerrold T. Jones officiating. Burial will be in West Montcalm Cemetery. Visitation will also be on Monday July 18 from 11 AM to 1 PM. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be given to St. Jude's Hospital for Children or GLC Ministries in Greenville.

We have all lost a true Angel on earth. Ryan, your mom's smile and laughter were infectious.She was filled with sunshine and joy and she spread it everywhere she went. We love her and will always remember our time with her, thank you for sharing her with us. This is so unreal, we are so sorry for this great loss for your entire family.
