Erma Ida Miller age 93 of Gowen passed away Thursday July 14, 2011 at Spectrum Health United Memorial Greenville. She was born in Montcalm Township on September 13, 1917 the daughter of Earl and Nellie Vogel Griffith. She married Edwin C. Miller in 1937 and he preceded her in death in 1993. Also preceding her in death were her sons, Eldon and Duane Miller and her sisters Bernice and Marian.
She is remembered as a devoted Mother and Grandmother.
Surviving are her son Gerald (Darlene) Miller of Gowen, daughter Sandra (Fred) Schultz of Greenville, 12 grandchildren , several great grandchildren and a great great grandchild expected soon. Also surviving are her daughters-in-law, Dorothy Miller of Reed City and M. June Miller of Trufant and sister-in-law Nelda Miller of Gowen.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday July 19, 2011 at 1 PM from Hurst Funeral Home with Rev. Ted Johnson officiating. Burial will be in East Montcalm Cemetery, Greenville. Visitation will be Monday evening from 7 to 9 PM. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society.
