Lou Arlene Mahlich age 82 of Greenville passed away on Monday July 25, 2011 at Metro Health Hospital Wyoming MI. She was born in Fenwick on April 7, 1929 the daughter of Elmer and Minnie Bowman Wilkinson. She was married in Greenville on June 5, 1948 to Wayne Mahlich Sr. He preceded her in death in 1982. Also preceding her was her son Wayne Jr. in 1988 and her sisters Elma and Thelma and her brothers Ralph and Mike.
Lou was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church in Greenville and was retired from General Motors Alpine Manufacturing with 30 years of service. She enjoyed camping, spending time with her family and her church.
She is survived by her daughter Linda Mahlich (Ed Morningstar), grand children; Craig (Laura) Mahlich of Sand Lake, Gregg (Kathy) Mahlich of Ionia, Brandy Mahlich of Cedar Springs, great grandchildren; Brandon Mahlich, Esha and Nikota Howe, Cameron, Dayoni, McKayla and Ryan Mahlich, her sister Elna Johnson of Cedar Springs and nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM Friday July 29, 2011 at St. Charles Catholic Church with Rev. Father Michael Cilibraise as celebrant. Visitation will be from 9 AM to 11 AM on Friday at St. Charles. Burial will be in Coral Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Charles Church.
