1916 - 2011
 Howard Ross Williams age 95 of Greenville died Saturday July 30, 2011 at Schnepp Senior Care and Rehab Center St. Louis MI. He was born June 9, 1916 the son of Howard A.L. and Edna C. Mallonee Williams in McBain MI. He married Catherine H. Ketcher in Grand Rapids on August 6, 1938 and she preceded him in death on November 13, 2006, after 68 years of marriage. Also preceding him in death were his brothers, Raleigh, Raymond and Harold and his sisters Madelyn Robar and Erma Brown.
Howard retired from Consumers Power Company as an area manager with over 40 years of service. He was an active member of St. Charles Catholic Church in Greenville. He served his communities with volunteering for God's Kitchen, as former member of the Greenville Lions Club, president of the Booster Club for Alma College and Alma High School and attended as many athletic events as possible especially for his children and grandchildren. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
He is survived by his three sons, Lee Williams of Greenville, Ed (Sandy) Williams of Alma and Rick (Jan) Williams of Big Rapids, his grandchildren, Lisa, Kelly, Shari, Stacey, Wendy, Denise, Nicholas, Rick and Shawn and 19 great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday August 3, 2011 at 11 AM from St. Charles Catholic Church in Greenville. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM with a Rosary prayed at 3:30 PM at Hurst Funeral Home, Greenville. Burial will be in St. Charles Cemetery Greenville. Memorial contributions may be given to Heartland Hospice.

Mike & I have so enjoyed Howard & kay;s love story. we had shared seats at Saint Charles and enjoyed many Sunday breakfast's together. So sad to hear the news, but joyful that the two will be together again!!

It was always a pleasure, when Jane and I would come back to Greenville and visit with Howard after Mass. He would always catch us up on how Rick and Jan and Ed and Sandy were doing.
A real gentleman who loved his family.
