William Marvin Habig age 80 formerly of the Greenville MI area died Saturday September 10, 2011 at Sunrise of Cascade, Grand Rapids, Michigan.
He was born in Wheeling, West Virginia on July 26, 1931 the son of William and Myra Harrison Habig. He was retired from A. T.&T. and the Chesapeake and Potomac and served in the US Army in Germany, a member of the American Legion Post of Mingo Junction OH and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was married August 30, 1958 in Ohio to Elaine L. Sprochi. She preceded him in death on March 31,2010.
He is survived by his children, Scott (Donna) Habig of Glenwood, PA, Denise (Einer) Thorlund of Greenville, Michele (Rick) Blockinger of Doylestown, PA, his grandchildren, Drew, Chad, Megan, Elin, Cal and Clay his sister Marna (Tom) Rahr of Columbus OH, and brother-in-law William (Paulette) Sprochi of Wintersville OH.
No funeral services will be held.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Education Foundation of Greenville ( Our 3 Campaign fund) or Spectrum Health Hospice.
