1925 - 2011
The beautiful soul of Mary Jane Andersen-Vie, daughter of William and Gladys Loding, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, October 24, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Axel (1918 - 2003) and her daughter, Karen Kennedy (1944 - 2009) and her brother William A Loding (1923-2000). She is survived by her daughter, Llisa McCabe; her sons, Eric Andersen-Vie (Helen) and Kurt Andersen-Vie; her ten grandchildren; and her nine great grandchildren. She was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1925 and started her married life and family in Greenville. She and Axel were charter members of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Greenville. She then spent many years of her life with her husband and children in Jackson, Michigan. While in Jackson she was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church and served as the kitchen supervisor and cook at Trinity Lutheran School where she enjoyed all the children that came through her lunch line. She worked for the Lord in this capacity until retiring. She enjoyed the last five years of her life in Kentwood, Michigan, living with her daughters. The family would like to thank Heartland Hospice for their gentleness, patience, and love to Mary and Llisa while in their care at home. Visitation will be Friday from 1:00 to 3:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Hurst Funeral Home in Greenville, Michigan. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 29, at the same location. Rev. David C. Fleming, pastor of Our Savior Lutheran Church, will serve as officiant. Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens, Belding. Memorial contributions may be given to Our Savior Lutheran School

Llisa and Kurt, my thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.
After finding out about your mom
it brought back a flood of memories from my high school years. Times spent at the house
in the pool, going to the boat and
the great trip to West Pointe.
Your parents were very good to me.
I drive by the house on Park road and have often wondered how they
were. So sorry about your dad too.
He helped me to get my first job at Ryerson Haynes.
May you find peace at this most
difficult time.

Dear Llisa, Kurt and family, I was sad to hear of your mother's passing. Betty Proschek called me with the news. I remember your mother and the rest of your family from Trinity. I know your father had a big influence on my brothers in Boy Scouts. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

I was deeply saddened to hear of your mother's passing from my mom. My mother let me know and sends her sincere condolences as well.
Both your mother and father were extraordinary, significant role models in my life while growing up. I have always had enormous admiration for them. I sincerely wish you and your families well.
Kurt - email or call me some time. I'd enjoy catching up with you. I'm working in Engineering and Program Management on Abrams Tanks.

Such a warm and loving feeling fills my heart as we "look again" at our past and share our memories and stories of Aunti Jane this week. I will always cherish her as one of the greatest gifts that God has blessed me with in my life. She was a big influence on who I have become and how I got here. She is with our Lord and reunited with those she has loved and lost. Her loving work and "esprit de la vie" continues here in all of us whose lives she has touched. Now she is never farther away than our closest thoughts. May God richly bless the Andersen-Vie family with love and peace as we celebrate her life in memorium. Love Karen

Dear Llisa, Kurt and family,
I was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Mrs. Mary Jane. She was a dear friend to the Neitzels and to all the Hursts. I have very fond memories of working for her in the kitchen at Trinity School, and when I think of her, I can always hear her laugh. I shall remember all of you in my thoughts and prayers.
In love and sadness, Shelly Neitzel
