
Janette Irene Selleck age 96 of Greenville passed away Friday December 2, 2011 at Twin Oaks Retirement Home, Gowen. She was born in Grand Ledge MI on October 6 1915 the daughter of Elmer and Sylvia Watson Mitchell. Janette worked for the Wolverine World Wide Company first in the glove factory, then at the shoe factory both in Greenville. She retired with over 30 years of service. She loved to travel and wintered in Apache Junction AZ for many years. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Richard Pettit in 1962 and Cleve Selleck in 2004. Also preceding her were her grand daughter Lynette Pieffer in 1990, her stepsons, Frank (Virginia, decd) Selleck and Jon Selleck and her siblings, Alfred and Lyle Mitchell and Effie Linderman and Doris Covert.
She is survived by her daughter, Charlotte (Eugene) Bissell of Greenville, grand daughter Janis Braden of Greenville, 6 great granddaughters and 12 great great grandchildren, her brother Merrill Mitchell of South Carolina, step son Rev. Dr. J. Brian Selleck of Tucson AZ and step daughter Darlene Kern of Lansing and step daughter in law Betty Selleck of Grattan and many step grand, great and great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at the Hurst Funeral Home on Tuesday December 6 at 12 O Clock Noon with visitation from 10 AM to Noon. Rev. Dr. Jerrold T. Jones will officiate. Burial will be in Woodward Lake Cemetery, Orleans. Memorial contributions may be given to Hospice or Twin Oaks Retirement Home.
