Nevene K. Taylor 93, 17 Mile Road, Gowen, graduated from this life on January 6, 2012 to once again dance with her husband of 60 years, Jack M. E. Taylor, who preceded her in death. She was born the daughter of Leon and Lila Tallman on February 5th, 1918. The eldest of six children: Duwayne, Wynona, (deceased) June, Betty, and Stanley. She is survived by her son Rick and his three children Val, Dusty, Brandy, and each of their families. Nevene was a hard working and caring person, retired from Gibson's and went on to work at the Daily News, also volunteering as a foster grandparent at Eight-Cap as well as teaching adults how to read. She believed in continuous education and in her spare time, she loved to garden. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM Tuesday at Hurst Funeral Home, Greenville, with from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Burial will be in Spencer Mills Cemetery, Gowen.
