Ruth Phoebe Hansen age 96 of Greenville passed away Thursday March 8, 2012 at Metron of Cedar Springs. She was born in Muskegon on March 14, 1915 the daughter of Edward H. and Laura F. Kitchen Dexter. She married Niels A. Hansen on September 8, 1958 in Toledo Ohio. He preceded her in death on December 25, 2002. She was retired from the service department of Gibson Refrigerator Co and had also been employed in retail stores in Muskegon and Grand Rapids.
She is survived by her son James (Becki) Hansen of Greenville, 3 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, her sisters, Joan Gale of Montague and Carol J. (Richard) Philips of Bridgeport TX and her nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings; Ray Loren Dexter killed in action in WW II, her brothers James and Kenneth Dexter and sister Laura Mae Fricanco.
Funeral and committal services will be held on Saturday March 10, 2012 at 2 PM from Hurst Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to services with Rev. Ken Harger officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memory Gardens, Belding. Memorial contributions may be given to Spectrum Health Hospice
