John was fun to work with in Purchasing and was always helpful to those of us in the materials department. Aunt Diane, Cory, Chris, Craig and family,
I was able to see Uncle John two weeks ago and am happy that I will be able to remember him as he was that day. Hed just come from working and walked into Grandmas house all smiles. He shook my hand, played with Happy and fed him some treats, and complained about getting old. I dont think he stopped smiling the whole time.
When Alishia and I asked him to be our Master of Ceremonies, it was a very easy decision and we were honored to have him involved. The worst part was when he started crying after I asked him! But thats who he was, a positive and caring husband and father who loved God and his family. We will miss him.
May God bless and comfort during this time. We look forward to seeing you this summer.

John was one of those co workers that would go the extra mile to help and keep us informed when problems arose for us in the Material Handling Dept at Frigidaire. I remember seeing the two of you starring at each other all goo goo eyed in the hallways at the plant. Love and prayers to you and your family during this time of loss.

Mr. John Lee Johnson, age 63 of Greenville, passed away Monday, March 26, 2012 at the Fred and Lena Meijer Heart Center in Grand Rapids. John was born February 9, 1949 in Greenville, the son of Frederick and Betty (Brown) Johnson. He was employed at the former Electrolux Appliances in Greenville for many years and later retired from Belco Industries in Belding. He loved animals, especially his dogs. He knew the Lord and had a very strong faith. His gift was an ability and willingness to take care of people and meet them at their point of need. He was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church. He loved his family and was a very devoted grandfather. He will be deeply missed, especially by his wife of nearly 25 years, Diane; children, Cory (Shannon) Johnson of Greenville, Chris Johnson of Orange County, CA, Craig (Angie) Johnson of Greenville, Todd (Michelle) Blumberg of Gowen, and Lisa Normington of Greenville; grandchildren, Cheyanne and Dakota Johnson, Tatum and Tru Johnson, Matthew and Cody Blumberg, and Devin, Sierra, and Andy Normington; parents, Fred and Betty Johnson of Greenville; brother, Fred (Debbie) Johnson of Wheeler; sister, Susan (John) Adams of Greenville; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, March 30, 2012 at Calvary Baptist Church, Greenville. Rev. R. Mark Shaw will serve as officiant, and interment will follow in East Montcalm Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Hurst Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Calvary Baptist Church (12501 Montcalm Ave. NE, Greenville, MI 48838) or the Humane Society of West Michigan (3077 Wilson NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49534).
