Bruce Talmage Bretzke III Click for Condolences      Printable Version
1994 - 2012

Bruce Talmage Bretzke IIIBruce Talmage Bretzke III, age 17, unexpectedly departed this world on Sunday, June 17, 2012 to be with his Father in Heaven. After a wonderful day with his family, he died peacefully in his sleep of unknown natural causes. "Tal" was born December 20, 1994 in Grand Rapids. He was a loved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend. His huge smile and generosity toward others, particularly those less fortunate, will be missed. He would have been a high school senior in the fall. Memories of his successes in athletic pursuits and outdoor activities will be cherished. He enjoyed hunting, watersports, quad riding, buying and selling things, and most of all, spending time with his family and friends. In life Tals kindness to others exemplified his personality, and in death his love for the Lord provides peace to those he leaves behind, especially his parents, Bruce T. Bretzke, Jr. and Kelli Michelle Bretzke.; sisters, Savannah and Taylor Bretzke; brother, Titus Maximus Bretzke; grandparents, Bruce Bretzke, Sr. and Pamela Bretzke; Angela Drake, and Douglas Bingham; aunts and uncles, Tammi and Todd Brown, Angela and Curt Finch, Ashlei Conn and fiancé Sean Brier, Stevie Bingham, and Andrea Bingham; cousins, Ashton, Alec, and Addison Brown, Tre and Alyssa Finch, and Ella Brier; and many, many friends. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, June 21, 2012 at Calvary Baptist Church (12501 Montcalm Ave. NE, Greenville), with visitation from 1:00 to 3:00 PM prior to the funeral at church. Tal's pastor, the Rev. R. Mark Shaw, will serve as officiant. Memorial contributions may be given to the Lincoln Lake Baptist Camp(15113 Lincoln Lake Ave, Gowen, MI 49326)or to the Greenville Rocket Football program (227 S.Lafayette St. Greenville MI 48838).

Bretzky Family I was so saddened to hear of Tal's passing. I can only imagine how deep the hurt must be, but during this time I know you will rest in the arms of your Lord and Savior. Tal was a light at Cedar Crest with a great wit to him. I know you will miss him greatly. My prayers are with each of you as you deal with this great loss in your own personal ways.

I only knew Tal for a short time and we had only spoken a few words to one another. We shared our 3rd hour this last semester and we were talking about what we were going to do with our lives after high school. He was going to work at home with his family and its sad to see that he never got to have that chance... Prayers to the family. Rest in peace Tal, God knows you deserve it.

Dear Tal's family, I am deeply sorry that Tal has died. He was a light in my teaching day. Tal talked of his love of football and his cars. He was brilliant with car knowledge and would share that with me. Oh, what a loss for all of us he touched. It is unusul that a new student adds such a positive flavor to our classes and brings gifts to share. Tal did this and I am so saddened by his leaving this earth. My prayers are with you all. He loved his family and spoke of you in our class. God bless him and your hurting hearts. Mary Ellen Clery Central Montcalm Family Living Teacher
