Philip Douglas Jones age 81 of Greenville died Saturday September 1, 2012 at Metron of Greenville. He was born in Emerson Township, Gratiot County MI on June 28,1931 the son of Leo D. and Vera H. Hawk Jones. He was a retired mechanic and for many years owned and operated the Turk Lake Garage. He was preceded in death by his wife Irene Jones and also Sandra Kay Doyle. He is survived by Irene and Sandras children;
Lisa (Brian) Heuring of Stanton, Phyllis ( John) Pisanelli of Hendersonville TN, Kelly (Tony) Ivolina of Stanton, Steven Doyle of Grand Rapids, Shelly (Pat) Fry of Belding, Robin (Don) Dennis, grandchildren, Samantha, Jacob, Sarah and Jessica, brother Richard Jones of California and many friends from Metron of Greenville.
A graveside funeral service will be held at Riverside Cemetery, Langston (Stanton). Date and time will be announced later at Hurst Funeral Home.

Philip I will miss our many times together. You are a wonderful cook, sharing recipes then tasting them together, we even laughed at few.
Will miss hearing "Sugar, I'm home."
Look down and you will see my smile as I look up to see yours.

My prayers are with you. Phillip will be missed here at Friendship House East. I miss seeing and talking to him too. He seamed to know when I was out of bread and would show up with a loaf of his homemade bread that was so good. I miss taking him little treats now and then. I am glad he is in a better place. Miss you Phillip..

Sorry to hear of Phillips passing, he was a customer of Jack's Automotive while I worked there from 1966-1983. I remember Irene coming in to pick up parts for the Turk Lake Garage.
