
Marvine Elaine Thomas age 85 of Greenville formerly of Alger and Detroit passed away Sunday September 16, 2012 at Metron of Greenville. She was born in Harrisburg PA November 24, 1926 the daughter of Mervin and Isobel Sidle Baker. She was married in Detroit on July 16,1949 to John W. Thomas and had worked as a telephone operator and a receptionist, first with Michigan Bell Telephone, then St. Johns Hospital, Detroit and before retirement for auto dealers in Detroit. She enjoyed playing cards and being at the cottage that she and her husband built near Alger on Forest Lake.
She was preceded in death by her husband John on Feb 14,2000, her granddaughter Bridgette Powers on May 29, 2009, her brother Charles Mein and her father.
She is survived by her daughters, Lory (Dennis) Powers of Greenville and Trudy (Jack) Consiglio of Florida, her mother Isobel Mein of Walled Lake MI, grandchildren; Jennifer, Keegan and Dion Powers, Andrea Consiglio and Cheri Deguia, great grandchildren; Cullen Powers, Kassidy and Quinlan Keyhari and Chloe Hubbard.
Family visitation and prayers will be held at Hurst Funeral Home Greenville on Tuesday September 18, 2012.
