Charles W. Switzer, age 78, passed away early Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at Metron of Greenville. He was born July 27, 1934 in Amble. He worked his entire career at Consumers Energy. He is survived by his son, Roderick Switzer and his partner Clare Hubble, Jr. of Greenville; daughters, Rhonda (Dan) Cowdrey of Lakeview, Shelley Switzer of Mt. Pleasant, and Heidi Riley of St. Louis, MI; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and siblings, Dale Switzer of California, Rosalyn (Lyle) Wilcox of Grand Rapids, Earl (Char) Switzer of Greenville, and Marilyn (Jerry) Knapp of Greenville. The family will greet friends and relatives Friday, November 2, 2012 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Hurst Funeral Home, Greenville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Alzheimers Association.
