Karen J. Wey, age 70, passed away Friday, November 2, 2012 at her home in Carson City. She was born October 30, 1942 in Cedar Springs, the daughter of Leon J. and Jeanette L. (Merlington) Fuller. Karen was a member of the Carson City United Methodist Church, the Ruth Circle, and the Carson City Senior Center. She loved dancing and being a part of the Square Dance Promenaders. She enjoyed also enjoyed music, gardening, reading, and Detroit sports. Karen is survived by her children, Amy (Dave) Harris, Kristine Maxon Swindell, and Kirk Maxon (Liana McCartney), all of Greenville; grandchildren, Conner, Caden, and Cameron; and brothers, Roderick (Barb) Fuller, Bruce (Carla) Fuller, and Jerry (Carol) Fuller. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Paul Wey. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at Hurst Funeral Home, Greenville, with Pastor Andy Croel of Carson City United Methodist Church officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to the ALS Association.

Dear Amy, Kris & Kirk,
My memories of your mom go back a very long way. When she was in junior high, I would come from college to visit, she would share her room with me and always made me feel so welcome.
For over fifty years we celebrated many holidays, birthdays and family celebrations. Karen was a wonderful lady and she will be missed by many.
