1923 - 2012
Lorraine M. Diamond, age 89, died December 4, 2012 at her home near Greenville. She was born April 26, 1923 in Lansing, the daughter of Walter and Marie (Dhean) Emmons. She and her husband lived in Lansing for many years before moving to Greenville. Lorraine was a very talented craftswoman, and enjoyed sewing, painting, knitting, and ceramics. She also loved her cats. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Ernie Diamond and her son, Daniel Diamond. She is survived by her children, James E. (Floyrita) Diamond of Stanton and Veronica (Carlo) Berto of Arlington, VA; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Rita Marie (Russell) Miller of Gowen. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Saturday, December 8, 2012 at St. Bernadette of Lourdes Catholic Church in Stanton, with Rev. Dominic Tirkey presiding. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Bernadette of Lourdes Catholic Church
