1991 - 2012
 Chelsea Kay Danielle Magoon, age 21, passed away Monday, December 17, 2012. She was born September 21, 1991 in Sheridan. Chelsea was baptized at the First Congregational Church of Greenville. She was a 2009 graduate of Vestaburg High School, where she was active in athletics, including basketball and cheerleading. She went on to graduate from a Pharmaceutical Technician Program. She enjoyed hanging out with her friends, hunting, and taking trips to the casino. Chelsea is survived by her parents, Broc Magoon (Kris) and Wendy (Vince) Long; grandmothers, Carol Magoon and Gloria Noll; great-grandmother, Mildred Petersen; brothers and sisters, Calvin, Cyeasha, Cameron, Cyrie, Vincent, Jr., Cyiana, Casia, Calyce, Tacole, Trisha, Victoria, DaJanell, ARriel, and Tom; many nieces and nephews; aunts, Trudi Magoon, Danita (John) Greene, Nicole (Lewis) Hayden, and Mosho Long; uncles, Bron (Karen) Magoon, Wade Jenks, Todd Mathew, Tony (Yolanda) Mathew, Troy (Anita) Mathew, Deon (Darcy) Long, and Anthony (Pam) Long; cousins, Nathan, Elizabeth, Emily, Makayla, Kesha, Steven, Alyssa, Sara, Abbey, Kayla, Alan, Emlin, and Addison; and several other cousins. She was preceded in death by her Papa, Raymond Magoon; grandmother, Gertystine Long; sister, Quiana Long; and aunt, Dawn Mathew. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, December 21, 2012 at the First Congregational Church of Greenville, with Rev. Dr. Jerrold T. Jones and Pastor Frederick Brock officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Hurst Funeral Home, Greenville. Those wishing to make a memorial contribution are asked to consider the needs of the family. |

Chelsea was a very pleasant girl to be around she was raised to be a very respectful young lady. There wasn't a time that I seen Chelsea and she didn't have a smile on her face she was a very beautiful young lady. I have known her family for many years and I was blessed to meet Chelsea as well as her siblings when they we're younger I had babysat for Wendy when she needed a babysitter. They we're all very respectful and pleasant children to be around. I am keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers I am so sorry for your loss they say God always takes the best and I sure do believe it. We are so sorry for your loss. Chelsea attended the Seville Community Church for many years of her life. She attended church camp with "our" Chelsea and participated in many other youth activities through the years. She will be greatly missed. I will always remember her smile and her bright eyes!
