Jo Anne Nielsen age 60 of Greenville passed away at her home on Thursday evening December 20, 2012. She was born October 14, 1952 the daughter of Thomas and Alice (Lake) Flanigan. She was a graduate of Greenville High School and was a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) working for Metron of Belding the past 15 years. She was married to Chet Nielsen at Settlement Church Gowen on October 4, 1975. Jo Anne was a determined and hard working care-giver, always giving of her big heart for others before herself. She was beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister and will be missed by so many with her sudden passing.
She is survived by her husband Chet, children; Christine (Kirk) Medlar and Corey (Niki) Nielsen both of Greenville, Alison ( Tony) Skellenger of Fenton MI, grandchildren; Avery, Jordan, Tyra, Andrew, Hunter, Claire, Nick, Connor and Taylor, her brother Rick (Laura) Deal of Greenville and many special friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents and her son Tony.
A gathering of friends and family will be held Sunday January 13, 2013 at 1:30 PM at the Oakfield Township Hall (14 Mile Rd and Harvard NE). In her memory, memorial contributions are suggested to the Make a Wish Foundation, 648 Monroe Ave., NW, Ste. 104
