1966 - 2012

Trudi MagoonTrudi Ann Magoon, age 46, passed away Monday, December 31, 2012. She was born October 17, 1966 in Grand Rapids. She was a 1984 graduate of Greenville High School. She earned an Associates Degree in accounting from Montcalm Community College and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Aquinas College. She also received a certificate of credit and collections from Davenport University. Trudi was the owner of Naturally Tru (candles). She had a great talent for candle making and loved her work and her creations. Trudi had a great sense of courage and adventure and loved vacationing with her son Nathan. She loved to snuggle with her dog Twiggy and loved to watch her birds at their feeders. She enjoyed watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune and yelling out the answers, right or wrong! Trudi faced many health challenges over the years and always tried to have a positive, upbeat attitude about life. Nothing was ever a CANT, but rather an I WILL. Trudi is survived by her son, Nathan Faling; mother, Carol Magoon; grandmother, Mildred Petersen; brothers, Broc Magoon and Bron (Karen) Magoon; and nieces, Elizabeth, Emily, and Makayla Magoon. She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Magoon; niece, Chelsea Magoon; and grandfather, Kervin Petersen. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, January 4, 2013 at Hurst Funeral Home, Greenville, with Rev. Dr. Jerrold T. Jones of the First Congregational Church of Greenville officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.

She and I were members of a forum where she shared her passion for candlemaking. Trudi was very well respected by her fellow chandlers and served as a mentor to many of us. I will miss her sharing spirit and inspiration.

I knew Trudi in school and she was a sweetheart. Always a smile on her face. Last fall we reconnected and talked a bit back and forth. She was still the same beautiful girl I remembered in school. Always positive and a smile to share with everyone. So sorry for your loss.

Trudi was always a pleasure to talk to, we had very nice conversations on FB about birds, sewing, life in general. She also was my classmate and when we were in highschool, she was always the most kindest, compassionate, and loving person I knew.We lost contact but I never gave up looking for her,we never talked to often but we seem to be able to finish the coversation where we left off. I too believe she was taken to soon, but I am honored that I got to share her some of her life with her. God Bless her family and friends. Rest in Peace.

There are simply not enough ways to express how incredibly saddened I am with Trudi's passing. I take comfort that she is now in the arms of our Lord and Savior, pain free, without concern for her health, and sharing that infectious smile of hers! I pray for the peace and healing that only can come with time for Nathan, Carol, her brothers and the rest of her family that have endured so much. Rest my dear friend. You will be deeply missed.
