Bill, I know we werent close but you were bestfriends with grandpa he misses you, i've never ever seen him cry before and then when you passed he just wasnt the same. I remember when I went with you guys to town and you bought be a cup of ice cream!(: I remember you've been around since the day i was born. You were my grandpa Marv's bestfriend since you guys were 9 years old. I know I wasnt the closest with you but still it just doesn't feel right when I see grandpa sitting at the table when he should be fishing with you! You guys were drinking buddies, fishing buddies everything I can think of. I'm so sorry for Betty's and your son's loss! You are truly missed! R.I.P. Bill <3

I remember the 1st time I met Bill. This was in the early 1970's when the "Age of Majority" legislation had just passed and people between 18 and 21 could now enjoy "adult" privledges. A couple of friends and I went to the Wooden Keg Tavern to have a drink and play some pool. Well Bill seen us go over to the pool tables and we must have looked like sheep going to slaughter as he slowly came over and challenged me to a game of pool which included a "friendly" wager. Well, it didn't take long for him to run the table and take my money. I sure enjoyed watching him play pool. He had a cool attitude about him and he was pretty darn good to boot...will miss you Bill.

I don't recall any fishing memories...however, there is one vivid memory I'll always have with Bill. All around a dog and a Canadian goose! Makes me laugh everytime! Sending my prayers too and with my family during this time and always. Love Andrea and Sidney James

Bill was indeed a one of a kind fishing man, I feel great sorrow for our Family knowing the pain they are enduring at this time. But the good times and great memories I know will see everyone threw it. With out a doubt Im sure he is looking down at us from heaven fishing pole in one hand and walking to the promise lake with Jesus. Love you and will always think of the good times... Dave and I were both friends with Bill and have many fond memories. I went to elementary school in Sheridan with Bill and Dave knew him in high school. In fact, Bill was the one that introduced Dave and I to each other at the Bell Rockton in Belding when I was a freshman in high school in 1962. He was quite a character! May he rest in peace and spend his time fishin'
