1926 - 2013
Milo E. Griswold age 86 of Grand Rapids formerly of Trufant and Lansing passed away Friday February 8, 2013 at Spectrum Health Butterworth Campus Grand Rapids, Michigan. He was born in Charlotte MI on May 28,1926 the son of Edward and Bertha Pifer Griswold. He married Ruth C. Johnson on June 16, 1951 in Lansing, MI. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the US Army in the Philipines and occupation Japan after the war. He was employed as a steam hammerman at Atlas Drop Forge Co. in Lansing for 35 years and after retirement to the Trufant area became the cemetery care taker at Trufant Cemetery for several years opening and closing the graves and maintaining the grounds.
His wife Ruth preceded him in death on July 22, 2006 and his two sisters and grandsons, Patrick and Brian also preceded him in death.
Surviving are his son Michael of Grand Rapids, with whom he made his home with, and his daughter Ginger Finley of Howard City, his grandchildren; Kristine Robert and Scott and 8 great grandchildren.
Family services will be held at a later date.

Please accept my heartfelt sympathy on the passing of your father. He was a brave person who gives America's freedom, safety and protection. His memory will live in American hearts.

Ginger, Mike and family,I am so sorry to hear of Uncle Mike's passing. I was hoping we could see him at the reunion this year. I have nothing but fond memories of him, and can even now hear his voice. Love to you and prayers sent for God's peace. Susie
