1933 - 2013
 Marvin Howard Batchelder, age 79, died Thursday morning, February 21, 2013 at Spectrum Health United Memorial United Campus in Greenville. He was born May 23, 1933. Marvin retired from General Motors (Alpine) after 30 years of employment. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish and hunt. He was preceded in death by his son, Marvin Batchelder; and sister, Marilyn Swift. He is survived by his daughters, Deborah (William) Spielmaker of Cedar Springs and Becky Batchelder (Rook Rockwell) of Six Lakes; grandson, Jason (Lisa) Spielmaker of Lakeview; great-grandsons, Drake and Zander Spielmaker; sister, Linda (Ray) Eyer; brother, Kim Nelson; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, February 25, 2013 at Hurst Funeral Home, Greenville, with visitation Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. Burial will take place in the spring at White Swan Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the Humane Society of West Michigan. |
