1920 - 2013
Marvin H. Cannon, age 93, longtime Stanton area resident, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 12, 2013 at Metron of Greenville. He was born February 2, 1920 in his family's namesake Cannonsville, Michigan, the son of Archie and Mary "Mamie" (Swartz) Cannon. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II, serving in Belgium, Germany, and Paris and much of France. He was one of the founding and life members of the American Legion Post 452 in Stanton, where he served as Post Commander for several years.
