1937 - 2013
Robert Anson Branham, age 75, passed away Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Spectrum Health Butterworth Campus in Grand Rapids. He was born June 26, 1937 in Kentucky, the son of Anson and Dollie (Pitts) Branham. On December 5, 1959, he married the former Carolyn Chase. Bob was a proud veteran, having served his country as a medic in the United States Air Force. He began his career in the food industry at Pollys Food Market in Jackson, then worked for Marks and Gergens. He then began a lengthy career with Stehouwers Foods, retiring after many years of employment. He loved music, and loved to sing hymns and praise songs. He enjoyed spending vacation days with his wife Carolyn, going out to breakfast and shopping. He truly loved the Lord, and valued bible studies and Thursday morning mens fellowship breakfasts. He especially loved his children and grandchildren, and had a ball playing with his great-grandchildren. He will be deeply missed, especially by his wife of 53 years, Carolyn; children, Marissa (Mike) Kohler of Trufant, Dale (Felicia) Branham of Virginia, and Eric (Tammie) Branham of Rodney; grandchildren, Robbie (Ashley) Branham, Lanay Jolley, Josiah Branham, Leah Branham, Joshua Branham, Rachel Branham, Felicia Branham, and ReNee Heiss; great-grandchildren, Jaiden and Kloe; siblings, Willie (Darlene) Branham, Danny (Carolyn) Branham, Juanita (Robert) Schultz, and Walter Branham; siblings-in-law, Robert (Yvonne) Chase, Larry (Linda) Chase, Sharon (Tom) Clementz, Shirley (Silas) Bennett, and Gary Chase; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister-in-law, Brenda Dewitt. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM Thursday, April 25, 2013 at Hurst Funeral Home, Greenville, with Rev. Eldon Sanders of Crossroads Church in Rockford officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 3:00 to 7:00 PM. Interment will be in Courtland Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the Wounded Warrior Project,

Carolyn and family,
I am so sorry to hear of Bob's passing away but I do know he is in heaven rejoicing today. I always appreciated the fine, Christian example
that his life has been. I cherish the wonderful memories I have of you and Bob and the family.
Carolyn, I will be praying for you and your family for God's comfort and peace to keep you grounded. I wish that I could be with the Chase family too at this time.
I am writing you from Malawi, Africa where Charles is working with CURE International Hospital for a year. It is a mission hospital giving free orthopedic care for children in Africa.
Thinking and praying for you all at this time,
Yvonne Bruerd

Carolyn, Missy, Dale, Eric and Family Members:
When dad died at 71 years I too, asked why so young, LORD? Prophet Isaiah, about 681 BC. answered: "...the godly often die before their time. And on one seems to care or wonder why. No one seems to understand that God is protecting him or her from evil to come. For the godly who die will rest in peace." Isaiah 57:1-2.
I wept at visits to the stone, 3 years, and thanked God for precious memories.
Believe me it's truth: "Death leaves a heartache only God can heal. Love leaves a memory no one can steal." Today I laugh!
Each one of you has blessed me with cherished memories and agape love.
Cousin, "I'm still look 'en for a peachy husband like Bob!"
He is at peace! Yes, what JOY to dance, sing, and party with King David, Lowe and dad!

Carolyn & family: Although miles and years have past, we so enjoyed times together with Bob whether in church worship, a gospel sing, a ball field or around a piano with Lowell and sons. Bob's special spirit of warmth, caring & love was an added blessing whenever we met. His presence was a blessing in my life. Our families hold such wonderful memories of times spent together--thank you for these gifts of love! Dale Shelar
