Willis Erwin McQueen Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1914 - 2013 Willis  "Tim" Ervin McQueen age 98 formerly of Greenville passed away Tuesday April 23, 2013 at Heather Hills Retirement Community in Grand Rapids. He was born September 19, 1914 in Fremont township, Isabella County, MI the son of Bert J. and Bessie Willis McQueen. He married Hazel E. Nelson on May 14, 1936 and was a veteran of the US Navy serving in WWII. He retired after many years service with the former Gibson Refrigerator Company. Tim was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Greenville and formerly had a bait shop on Montcalm St. in Greenville and was also a beekeeper for many years. He is survived by his wife Hazel now of Grand Rapids and their son Wilson "Wick" and Nancy McQueen of Grand Rapids, grandchildren Kimberly (Robert) Bernard of East Grand Rapids, David Mc Queen of Grand Rapids and Jennifer (Don) Patten of Grand Rapids, 7 great grandchildren, brothers, Eugene (Marge) McQueen of Belding and J.B. (Bonnie) McQueen of Oxford and nieces and nephews. His sister Thelma Jensen preceded him in death. Family graveside services will be held at Rest Haven Memory Gardens, Belding.

To Hazel and her family, I am so sorry I missed this earlier. I always enjoyed bumping into Willis and Hazel around town. Beautiful people. The world has been a richer place for their presence in it. My condolences on your loss of Willis. I sure enjoyed that honey!

Wick & family, Sorry to hear of your loss of your dad! Great memories of being able to wonder down to your place and many times just to watch the fish in the tanks.Your dad was always so nice to talk to. Always hoped I could have money to buy fishing eqipment from your dad. Blessings tothe whole famly. Ron & Cheryl

Was sadden to learn to "Tim's" passing. To say he didn't live a long and filling life would be a misnomer. Cherish the memories and know that others share your grief.
