Josephine Shimmell Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1933 - 2013 Josephine Shimmell, age 79 of Lowell, passed away suddenly Friday, June 21, 2013 at Spectrum Health United Memorial in Greenville with her family by her side. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Shimmell, and daughter, Karen Shimmell. Surviving are her children, Susan Shimmell, Joan Stevens, Donald Shimmell, Jr., and Nancy (Joe) Wardell; ten grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Betty Borst, Alice Sepanik, and Fern Zeinstra. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, June 27, 2013 at Rosedale Memorial Park (O-50 Lake Michigan Drive, Grand Rapids, MI 49534). In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given Spectrum Health Hospice.
