Marjorie Gladys Hansen, age 88, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2013 at Oak Crest Assisted Living Facility in Spring Lake. She was born on July 13, 1924 in Greenville. The daughter of Thomas James Burlison and Ruth Pearl (Sears) Burlison, Marjorie was raised in rural Stanton along with her brother, Ted Burlison and sister, Iris. Marjorie married Maurice L. Hansen on March 23, 1952. Maurice and Marjorie owned and operated Hansens Sport Center at Dickerson Lake for 45 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice; an infant son, Thomas Lloyd; daughter, Sandy Jorgensen; and brother, Ted. She is survived by two daughters, Marilyn (Rick) Hansen and Neesa (Tim) Raha; son-in-law, Tom Jorgensen; ten grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Private family graveside services will be held at Little Denmark Cemetery in Gowen. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the hospice organization or charity of your choice.
